exams = house arrest =(

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-31 - 16:48:52

Yes, due to recent and corrent exams I have been banned from leaving the house, watching TV and generally having any fun at all until I have revised myself to death and the exams are over.

I managed to sneak away to get on here because I'm "downloading a paper". Who knows what Dad'll do if he finds out I'm actually having fun.

So, this is my life for the next 2 weeks or so. Oh the joys of being too young to move out yet.

I have revised history until it comes outof my ears but I still can't retain anything. I think it is time I admitted and the world knew that I am a history and Math retard. There, I said it.

I feel so bored, but at least I have a packet of jellybeans my brother bought me because he felt sorry for me.

My brother actually pities me. That is how bad the situation has got.

Indiana Jones!!!!!!!1

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-27 - 18:02:30

The new Indiana Jones movie is really good, although the ending is a bit twee and the temple falls down as in every other one of the movies. It gets a bit strange (contains magical aliens) but is overall a very good action movie.

Go watch it =)

oh joyous day (et quotes from it)

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-24 - 19:15:09

I went to a themepark 'Camelot' today, and while there I heard some memorable quotes from various people which I think are worth remembering:

"You know, Oliver, you really smell funny" - brother in the car when Oliver got in. He recieved a sound beating for the comment =)

"Awwww I'm sweating the cat off!" - Brother on finding that his re-entry stamp was smudged.

"It's ok, you can still see the kitty" - Brother taking a closer look at said stamp.

"We have G-force!" - Me in teacups while spinning madly at what felt like 100mph and trying to go faster.

"If we go fast enough we'll come out in the past" - Bean explaining why we needed so much speed on the second teacup ride.

"You know, if the restraints gave way now we'd all fall to our deaths" - Dad attempting to terrify me even more while on the 'Excalibur' ride. It worked.

"Oh, look a horse...let's throw stuff at it!" - Oliver (obv we didn't follow that suggestion)

"AAAAAARRRRGH!" - Me and Bean on the kiddy ghost train (attampting to annoy other passangers)

"I'm not leaving until I meet Squire Bumpkin!" - Bean at 'Squire Bumpkin's Friendly Farm' area of the park.

"duck, duck, duck" - Oliver saw a duck in the park.

"I'm actually really scared" - we were all feeling the fear on the big (actually it wasn't so big) wheel.

"Euuuurrgh" - Mum got sick on the child's balloon ride. (though thankfully she didn't actually hurl)

As you may be able to tell I had a great day =)

I reccommend it. The new ride is ok, but they replaced the loop-the-loop ride =(

=o lesbian action much?

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-23 - 17:20:50

We had the entire day free of exams today, and Rory somehow managed to talk me into coming to school to keep them company.

After many games of poker it was decided we should go down to the river, and so off we went.

Have you ever played spin the bottle by a river? Well, I'm sure the thing was rigged because I ended up kissing 2 guys and a girl (several times =0). I was mightily shocked - and they're only the ones the dare was to kiss properly, I must have had my hands and cheek kissed 20 times in half an hour!

Anyways, following that we went down to the actual water and it struck me (owwwwwww) that I wanted to swim. So I did. In my shirt. The shirt instantly went see-through and so being me I ditched it. Charlotte joined me and we convinced Sam to come in in his underwear for a while.

Then some 6th formers arrived and Charlottes shirt went back on (she's so shy) and Sam got out of the water and dressed pretty quick.

Charlotte and me went back to her house and got changed, but on the way we were caught by a teacher who made me put my shoes on and tidy up our uniform...I hope he doesnt report us =S it was well worth it anyway.

Oh and while me and Charlotte were swimming all these old perverts were looking off the bridge and staring at us.

Good times.

Oh, but I now stink of rivers.

Avenge Of The Maths Monster

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-19 - 12:08:25

What kind of sick freak invented GCSE maths tests? They have the most stupid questions in the history of the earth and are also TOTALLY POINTLESS!

Ahem, what I mean to say is that I just spent one and a half hours of my life this morning sitting in a freezing room failing a test that I did not even choose to take in the first place.

SIt doesn't make for the best of moods really. =/

me + maths test = screwed

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-18 - 17:55:00

For once with me the title says everything. My non-calculator GCSE paper is tomorrow and although I have worked my arse off I still am not capeable of getting an A or probably even a B.

Oh well, I'll be happy when I'm poor and out of work. I'll just mooch of my brother =)

So that's all I have to say atm.

Quote of the day "That is the most retarded thing you have ever said, EVER"

=)

think about it.

The joys of strawberry weeding

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-17 - 18:47:34

After about an hour on my hands and knees pulling grass and creeping jenny from between the strawberries this morning I began to lose the will to live.

It was in that time that I began to realise how peaceful it actually is outside in the garden and how I actually sort of hate being cooped up in timetables all the time.

Thankfully, before I either solved world poverty or slit my wrists with the trowel through boredom, the cat turned up to keep me company.

It was much later when in my labours I unearthed a rather interesting bug-type-thingy from among the soil and weeds. It was like a reddish cocoon. It looked a bit like that butterfly thing off 'silence of the lambs' but obv it couldn't be one of them because they dont live in England. =S

Unless you have spent nore than 3 hours at a stratch gardening you can really have no idea of how stiif your back can be after you straighten up again.

How to bake without butter?

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-16 - 10:57:38

As you may have realised from the title there is no butter to be found anywhere in my house. Quel dilemma as a serious bake was scheduled for this afternoon!

Looks like I'm going to have to revise or something instaed.

At least I don't have to go to school =)

Why won't my dreams leave me alone?

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-15 - 17:24:46

Last night, the night before, and several other nights recently I have had dreams about Andrew. I hate them. Why won't my mind just block them for me? It just doesn't bother even though they upset me and it surely realises?

Nightmares I can handle. Terrifying mosters attacking, ok I get them and they don't bother me at all, but these dreams recently I can't even think about because I just want to cry. They're not particularly action packed it's just peaceful and every morning I have to wake up and realise it was just a dream again.

I hate my mind. Hopefully though writing about it will get them out of my system and I wont have to face another night of it. =/

Above the law

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-15 - 16:47:04

As year 11 on study leave I dont have to answer to the bells anymore (woooot!) which means no lessons and as I was in school today it meant I could just sit around and chat for the entire day until my exam came up (I had to come in on the bus this morning because I couldn/t catch a lift due to other people wanting to use the car).

It was rather a fun day, but I managed to sunburn my arms again =/

I had the most amazing chocolate brownie. If you are ever in Kirkby I reccommend the bakery on the highstreet for price and size of yummy yummy cakes and stuff =)

Mr Interesting

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-14 - 17:56:33

As you may guess I've met someone new.

Who would have known. I only got a profile on the site (tagged or something) because a friend made me and that was ages ago. I had forgotten all about it when an email arrived in my inbox a couple of days ago: "someone wants to meet you". Now normally I dont even bother reading that sort of rubbish email, but i opened it and it had a link to a game thing where the site showed you pictures and you clicked yes or no wether you were interested in the person or not. So I played it (I was VERY bored).

Next day I open it up and I have a match. Let me tell you all about him.

He's 17 and he lives ages and ages away. Seems nice enough. Very short hair. Glasses. Thinner than I usually like but it doesnt matter because he's too far away to be boyfriend material. So he remains Mr Interesting who brightens my MSN. He'll never be anything more but he does amuse me =)

RE tree

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-14 - 16:40:28

Ok, technically the RE exam had nothing to do with the tree I climbed this morning, although it was the reason I had to get my act together and locate some shoes =(

Well, this morning I slept in a bit because I didnt have an exam. Then I 'revised' for a bit before losing the will to live and wandering out into the garden where the bluebells (i love bluebells - and daisies) gave me new life. (obv i still hadnt located my shoes because I had deliberately lost them because I hate shoes and socks.)

Anyways after I had made myself useful by feeding the pond-fish I wandered into the orchard and climbed the old apple tree. It's full of blossom atm and its gorgeous.

Then I remembered I had to actually change and do my hair before leaving the house and meeting normal people so I headed back inside and found my shoes (eventually) dressed myself neatly and caught a lift to school where I took my RE exam which wasnt that hard really.

Then the bus didnt come for about an hour so me and Janine were having races on our backs across the floor.

She just couldn't accept that I was superior at it =)

LAST DAY!!!

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-13 - 17:46:49

Today was my last day of compulsery education =)

We didnt do much although we were supposed to have the first 2 lessons as normal all we did was eat, take photos and watch videos.

I've been photographed so much it felt like I was at a wedding!

My form tutor baked us a special cake =) thankies to Mrs Keeler (hahahaha now if she googles herself this will come up). She's leaving to go to Dallam next year, so I wish her luck n stuff =)

After that we went down to the church (yawn) for a not-so-boring-as-expected service which included a lot of singing from various talented people (Beth Mainwaring for one. She has an amazing voice and should be like famous). We had to wear our fleeces all through the service and it got seriously hot, although amazingly I was seated so I could actually see for once instead of being behind a pillar or something.

Then we went back to school and had lunch while watching a special video the teachers had put together for us.

We were allowed into the garden area that is normally out of bounds and they gave us all cans of soda so that was good and then we all trooped back into the hall for performances by yet more talented people in our yeargroup. There were a few technical hitches but that just added to the fun as the tech guys ran franticly to and fro with microphones only to finally fix it when the song had ended. Oh how I laughed =)

And that was the end of my last official day of year 11.

Oh btw Andrew burst into tears several times during the day and set his entire form off (or so I hears as I am in a different form). Honestly *rolls eyes* I'm supposed to be the girl n I didnt even start once =S I mean it's not like we're even leaving really because we're almost all coming back into 6th form...

Ah the mysteries of life.

Beautiful people on a beutiful day =)

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-12 - 17:30:11

The title of this (as in most of my blog) is quite random. As to the meaning of it you'll see in a minute, well I think they're beautiful anyways.

First reason that it was a great day for me was the the Health and Social teacher let us go out on to the school field and 'revise' since it was our last lesson (sob sob) and we break up for study leave tomorrow. Naturally Em started talking to Jaine (a total legend but just an acquaintance really) and so I was left with James D who is a total laugh although I had hardly spoken to him properly before this year and hardly a sensible conversation until like last thursday. We ended up having a grass fight =)

Next my entire year was given an extra long lunch hour because we're breaking up tomorrow, and that meant that i had even MORE time on the field. Charlotte wasnt there for most of it so i had Andrew's almost full attention for once (until she came back =/) Me and rory had a grass war and I put some more grass down James back =)

All in all I had a v good morning =)

THEN in the afternoon maths class (we only have one class after lunch each day) there was a fire alarm which meant we all had to traipse down to the tennis courts and back. I found Andrew but Charlotte was there so she had most of his attention and I talked to Lauren after she got my attention by whacking me with her PE kit (owwww!). Somehow ended up with James again on the way back to class (although he was headed to a different one) and he demonstrated how he could break my arm etc =)

so yeah...a good day.

Oh, but the downside is that now i have sunburn.

Ah welllllllll

Sunday and it is onnnnn

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-11 - 09:13:48

How I'm going to manage to stay awake both all today and most of school tomorrow I don't know. I was out last night which I knew was a mistake before I even set off and then I had to get up early to get the bathroom before anyone else beat me to it.

I am totally knackered tbh.

And I have a towel on my head, which doesnt make for the greatest of moods to begin with.

I want my ears piercing again. I did the last hole myself but now I have no gold/actual silver earrings left so I eiter need to buy some or go get them done properly...

ah welllllll....

Polly pocket

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-10 - 14:56:28

we've all seen polly pockets, right? In the shops, on the TV they're like almost as big a thing as barbie.

Did you know, however, that the new polly pockets are (in my opinion) absolute RUBBISH campared to the old compacts.

The new pollys are just like mini barbie type dolls with stand up houses and stretchy clothes. The old pollys come in their own little compact house/world that can actually be carried around in a pocket (hence the name).

You can get these off ebay really really cheap (though i wouldnt reccommend them for really little children as they have very small pieces) and I reccommend the mermaid compact in the shape of a book as the best I've found so far. Seriously, your little girl will love it! Alos it has a light and little mermaid pollys that are absolutely gorgeous =)

And that's how it happened...

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-08 - 18:40:27

ok, well I didnt really have the greatest beginning of the day today. Up until the end of lunch was pretty shite as Andrew and Charlotte were all over each other (get a room) and it pissed me off big time.

Thankfully though last lesson was health and social which I spent taslking to James D who really makes me laugh =) we threw a bag of smelly cheese off a balcony but ssssshhhh =) So after that I was cheered up.

THEN I had to do a Sport Leader session after school until 4.30 which was the most boring thing I have ever done in my life...too many chief syndrome me thinkies. So that annoyed me again.

AFTER I FINALLY got home I got a hair cut =) I actually like how it looks and it's a lot lot shorter so thats good for the hot weather.

And now I'm ok =)

Le test de spanish =S

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-06 - 17:02:19

That spanish test I mentioned happened today. My OfFICIAL GCSE spanish speaking test is finally over. I dont think it went too bad, although the roleplay was about the environment and thats a topic I'm not too great at, then the conversation was on my 3 least favourite topics =S. All considering I think I did pretty well =) I guess I'll know how it really went in August.

Oh btw we got our picture booklets of everyone in year 11 today. Most of the pictures are ok and we've been going around signing each others, which was quite fun. Hannah wrote 'sex god' and an arrow pointing to the 50 year old science teacher. It nearly made me fall off my chair I was laughing so much =)

Spanish laughs =)

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-05 - 17:49:35

The spanish revision I mentioned earlier went really well, we actually got some work done, although we also managed to find time to

google random things,

walk into town,

cook and eat kebabs

and almost kill ourselves laughing when we got the top stuck on her mum's teapot (we were having a coffee 'teaparty' and the lid kinda erm jammed. We've hidden it at the back of the cupboard so hopefully she'll never find out...)

6am how Iove it...

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-05 - 06:22:03

As you may hav guessed it is around 6am.

Ususally I would be fast asleep like a normal person at this time, but sadly I have been cursed with ecezma that keeps me awake, meaning that I get to experience all the joys of creeping around while everyone else (except Dad who is outside) is asleep.

So, anyways I am booked to go to my friend Em's house today which should be ok. We are doing a 5 hour revision marathon which sounds really nerdy I know, but with Em it should be a laugh because we generally end up setting something on fire or having races in our underwear (don't ask)...

So I'll get back to you on how that goes when I return.

The only problem is that they are picking me up at 9.45am, which leaves me with over 3 hours in which I have to entertain myself........

Oh the joys of sleeplessness and ecezma (yes I know I probably spelled that wrong)

overtired...oh the joys

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-04 - 18:58:54

As you may have been able to tell from the title I am the slightest bit tired atm. This is probably because last night, instead of staying in and getting an early night like a sensible (if slightly boring) person I decided I needed movie therepy and took myself out to see 'Irom Man' which, if not a classic film, was at least entertaining for a short period of time.

Now, after getting in well past midnight, I am feeling the strain of not having a decent nights sleep for an entire week. Thankfully, however, it is a bank holiday weekend, leaving me just 1 more night to attampt to catch up on my sleep...

wish me luck.

stormy grey eyes

by rainbowgirlx @ 2008-05-03 - 20:04:29

As for the grey eyes, well I actually havnt seen them today as they belong to my friend Andrew, who will not get out of my head, and hasn't done for the last 3 years. Every time I think I'm over it he'll do something unconciously and it'll start me off again...=/

So now you're in for a full description of Andrew and pretty much everything about his life. You should probably get a cushion and settle yourself comfortably...ok here I go:

Andrew. I'm not telling you his surname in case he googles himself and this comes up (could be highly embarassing)
He's about half a head taller than me with black hair and a darkish complexion (not sure how he keeps it like that, from what I hears he hardly does any outdoor work at all). Big build although I wouldn't call him fat, and his face is more built for smiling than anything else.
He's as stubborn as a mule and you'd have a hard time getting him to apologise for anything (he's been fallen out with his ex-best friend Rach for about 3 months now). He's very camp, and seems to like housework =S except ironing which he hates.
He watches pretty much every soap that's on, and I dont know where he finds enough time in a day to watch all the TV that he manages. Recently found out he is a serious football nerd (although he doesn't play).

Rightho, now you've probably built up a picture of him I'll go on to past history (and Charlotte =/):

Well, I first started hanging around with him (in school, he never socialises outside it and refuses all invitations to the cinema etc form everyone) in about year 9, when he was with Rach. I cant remember why I was with them, but soon after I arrived they fell out and so Andrew and me hung around together when I wasnt with Em. Then he and Rach made up and we all drifted back to Charlotte's lot. Now, Charlotte is a total legend, but when we joined up with them I must admit I was feeling a little(!) bit jealous at the atention he was paying to them and subsequently not to me.

I lost him totally for a while then (probably around 3 months) when we hardly talked at all. Just recently he has started talking to me again, although Charlotte continues to take precedence (I think he really likes her). I missed him a lot. Em drifted away too and I miss her like a hole in the head, although we still talk it's just not the same.

In conclusion, I've lost Andrew I think. It makes me want to cry, because I loved him so much and I still do. Em too, but in a different way. There used to be a running joke that we would marry at 19, but now obv the joke is with him and Charlotte. They make me smile, and they would make a good couple I think. That doesnt make it any easier though.
